Uzora is a local-first tool that lets a user open and work with cross-stitch chart files already available to that user. Uzora does not operate a chart catalogue, download service, marketplace, or file-sharing service.
File-format interoperability
Uzora implements compatibility with documented and independently understood file formats, including OXS and supported SAGA files. Our position is that the functional structures, field layouts, and methods of operation needed to read a data format are interoperability interfaces rather than ownership of the creative expression stored in any particular file.
Compatibility does not transfer ownership of a chart. Uzora claims no rights in third-party software, format names, trademarks, or chart designs.
User-selected files
- Users choose files through the operating system’s document picker.
- Users must have lawful access to, and the necessary rights or permissions for, each file they open.
- Uzora does not search for, provide, sell, or redistribute third-party charts.
- Imported content remains on the user’s device unless the user separately enables optional sync or explicitly confirms sending one failed file for private diagnosis.
- Users should send a failed chart only if they are entitled to share it for diagnosis. Reports are not redistributed or added to the permanent test corpus without separate permission.
Bundled sample
The application bundles Uzora Sample, an original chart created by Uzora in the open OXS format. It contains no third-party chart artwork and may be copied, stitched, modified, and redistributed.

This policy describes Uzora’s product and content practices. It is not a claim of affiliation with any third-party application or format owner.
